Glasgow 2007
Ross Maclennan from the Isle of Tiree travelled into the Fishing 2007 Exhibition at Glasgow to sign up his new Cygnus GM 33.The new boat will be a colaboration between Cygnus Marine in Cornwall and Seaway Marine in MacDuff, Scotland
The attached photo courtesy of Fishing News shows Ross shaking hands with Colin West of Seaway on their stand at Glasgow. The new boat will be a forward wheelhouse layout incorporating a 3.5 ton flooded/vivier hold to retain the max. value of his catch. A slave hauler aligned to a gunwale roller and landing table, and the pots will be deployed via a transom door.

Ross will be fishing in his new GM33 in the summer and we all wish this young man years of sucess ahead of him.
Seaway are also about to take delivery of another Cygnus-Holton 24 in red to fitout similar to the black one they exhibited at the Galway show in Ireland.
The GM33 is one of the largest, proven and heavily built of the under 10m.hulls.Using only a single relatively low horsepower engine makes her very economic to operate,a major consideration these days. Only this week Cygnus had a communication from the Seychelles Fishing Corporation who have three GM33's which they have operated for 13 years and still looking like new and fishing every day, testament to the quality and seakeeping---So good that we couldn't tempt them into replacements.
