Mystic 60 'Gregal'
On passage to Scotland from Porta Pollencia, Mallorca, the Mystic 60 'Gregal' called into Falmouth. Still immaculate after six years of bluewater cruising this pilot house sloop is a credit to the Cygnus workforce.
Moulded in Vinylester resin system by Cygnus Marine to the German Frers original hull design but with the addition of a pilot house deck and a retractable bowsprit.A tall Hall Spars sloop rig, Doyle sails. Powered by a Perkins Sabre 115. The yacht has been lovingly maintained by the skipper Luis since taking delivery in Falmouth in June 2002.The yacht has covered some 1500 miles including a Black Sea cruise to Northern Turkey and Russia.Through the Suez Canal down The Red Sea to Aden. Then up the Oman coast and down as far as the Seychelles Islands experiencing the Tsunami head on where they had to abandon their marina pontoon as it lifted off its anchorage pile on the incoming surge, and then had to avoid grounding on the back surge!

The current passage cruise is from Mallorca to the West Coast of Scotland via either Dublin or the Isle of Man and on through the Western Isles, returning to Mallorca in early August.
